About Us

How We Got Started

Buying gifts for special occasions can be a daunting process.  After spending years helping brides and grooms find their perfect gifts for their bridesmaids and groomsmen, we realized it was time to expand into the retirement gift giving arena.  Having a one stop shop for retirement gifts versus sifting through pages of products that are irrelevant is exactly how we are changing the game.  As you can see from our site, personalization is also our specialty, as we truly believe by engraving a name on a retirement gift, it becomes more meaningful.

Meet the Team

Chris B - The Man with the Plan - Chris is a savvy entrepreneur who knows his way around the gift industry.  He's also a man who understands the ways of the web.  Chris combines those attributes to help run Memorable Retirement Gifts.  It takes a highly analytical mind with a keen internet savvy to uncover new sites.  Chris had the the vision of Memorable Retirement Gifts and ran with it.  He is a guy that knows how to build a site, and manage it along the way.  Chris has an undergrad from the University of Vermont in Information Systems and is a lifelong aspiring entrepreneur.

Joe D - The Re-Inventor - After spending 20 years leading IT departments for fortune 500 companies, Joe decided to step outside the box and take a stab at entrepreneurship. Seeing what Chris B. had done in the wedding space, he came up with the idea of re-applying that same strategy with memorable retirement gifts. Joe brings both technical savvy, history of strong IT strategic planning, and a ridiculous amount of energy towards the site..  Joe received his M.B.A from the University of Connecticut and his undergrad from Southern Connecticut State University in Computer Science.

Tyler C - The Guy who Executes the Ideas - Tyler is our Jack of All Trades, so-to-speak.  He is a pivotal part of the development and growth of Memorable Retirement Gifts.  Between page designing, data entry, and customer service, Tyler does it all.  Tyler brings a great millennial vantage point to help understand our market, all while a skill set that aids in pushing our brand out in the world.  When it comes to retirement gifts, he can be a bit of a fish out of water(seeing as he is about 50 years away from retirement), but he knows enough about website building, linking, and customer service to be an integral part of our team!
